The City of El Dorado desires to facilitate housing opportunities for the community. To that end, the City encourages housing developers in El Dorado to consider an application to the Kansas Housing Resources Corporation’s (KHRC) Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit (KHITC) program. The City encourages developers to visit KHRC’s website to learn more about this opportunity to determine if an application will be submitted for consideration.
KHRC released the 2024 Round 1 application materials for the Kansas Housing Investor Tax Credit (KHITC) program. These materials include a Notice of Application Availability, Excel Application, Notice of Application, and related forms. The deadline to submit an application for consideration of tax credits through this program is 5:00 pm on April 19, 2024. Applicants intending to apply for this resource should submit a “Notice of Application” form no later than Friday, April 5, 2024, to ensure access to the Procorem application system before the application deadline.
The City will consider supporting development proposals desiring to pursue this opportunity with a resolution of support to meet the requirements of the application. Developers should prepare information necessary to enable the City Commission to understand the project and how it can assist the City with its housing objectives.
