Due to a vehicle accident on the evening of May 2 at the intersection of Village Road and West Central Avenue, the traffic signal cabinet at that intersection was completely destroyed, rendering the entire intersection's traffic signals and street lights unusable. Public Works employees responded immediately to set temporary stop signs for Village Road, while allowing traffic to flow through on Central Avenue. Public Works staff are working with a contractor to set a temporary cabinet and get power back to the intersection. People who use this intersection are being asked to exercise extreme caution when going through this intersection during this critical repair.
